Pune: Applications are invited at Center for Science Education and Communication (Formerly known as Science Park), Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune for the following posts:
1. Principal Science Communicator (Number of posts: 1: OPEN)
2. Senior Science Communicator (Number of posts: 1: OPEN)
3. Junior Science Communicator (Number of posts: 1: OPEN)
Tenure of the Posts: Initially for 1 year and; after evaluation and assessment extendable to maximum of 4 more years
The last date for receiving applications (online only): 21st March 2022.

Emoluments:
1. Principal Science Communicator: Rs. 75,000/- (Consolidated)
2. Senior Science Communicator: Rs. 70,000/- (Consolidated)
3. Junior Science Communicator: Rs. 65,000/- (Consolidated)
*Annual increment as per university approvals from time to time may be given.
 

Qualification and experience:
1. Principal Science Communicator:
Essential: Ph.D. in any branch of science or engineering with minimum of 5 years of experience or 10 years of experience after M.Sc. or 7 years after M.E. / M. Tech. in teaching science or mathematics in school or junior college level.
 

Desirable:
i. Demonstrable abilities in innovative development in an exploratory laboratory at the school level from 4th to 12th standard.
ii. Experience in conceiving, designing, and developing models showing experiments to illustrate concepts in science.
iii. Demonstrable ability for science communication in local language i.e. Marathi and English.
 

2. Senior Science Communicator:
Essential: M.Sc. with 4 years of experience or M.E. / M. Tech. with 3 years of experience or B.E. / B. Tech. with 5 years of experience in teaching science or mathematics at school or junior college level.

Desirable:
i. Demonstrable abilities in innovative development in an exploratory laboratory at the school level from 4th to 12th standard.
ii. Experience in conceiving, design and developing models showing experiments to illustrate concepts in science.
Good science communication skills in local language i.e. Marathi and English.
 

3. Junior Science Communicator:
Essential: M.Sc. with 2 years of experience or B.E. / B. Tech. with 3 years of experience or B.Sc. with 4 years experience in teaching science or mathematics in school or junior college level.
 

Desirable:
iii. Demonstrable abilities in innovative development in exploratory laboratory at school level from 4th to 12th standard.
iv. Experience in conceiving, design and developing models showing experiments to illustrate concepts in science.
v. Ability as a science communicater in local language i.e. Marathi and English.

Method/way for applying online:
1. Candidates should read the instructions on the website carefully.
2. If called for the interview, the candidate should take the printout of the application form, sign, and attach all the necessary self-attested documents like educational qualification, experience, and other certificates.
3. Candidate may apply for all three posts by clicking on the appropriate post.
4. Before applying online, you need to create an account on the website http://sciencepark.unipune.ac.in via the link provided for the online application.
5. Candidates should fill in personal information properly and create a login and password.
6. In the login, the candidate should enter username and password correctly and then fill in the correct information about education and experience.
7. Verify all the information and then proceed by clicking “apply here”.
8. Once the form is submitted online, can not be changed.
9. The online application link will be valid till the last date only.
10. Incomplete application forms will not be accepted.
11. The forms filled online before the deadline only will be accepted for scrutiny.
12. The applications submitted in any other way will not be accepted.

Age limit:
1. Principal Science Communicator: Maximum 45 years (relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for other categories)
2. Senior Science Communicator: Maximum 40 years (relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for other categories)
3. Junior Science Communicator: Maximum 35 years (relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for other categories)
4. There is no upper age limit for the candidates working in approved universities and colleges affiliated to such universities and institutes as well as government and semi-government.
5. There is age relaxation for 5 years for the physically challenged.

Selection Process
A. A scrutiny committee consisting of experts will evaluate the applications received online and will recommend suitable candidates for interviews.
B. The final selection will be based on interviews by the selection committee.
C. Number of candidates called for the interviews: maximum 10 for each post.
D. The selection committee may offer a post lower than what the candidate has applied if found suitable for a lower post.
