TISS to Host South Asian Conference on Policy Advocacy and Social Entrepreneurship in February 2026

Scholars, practitioners invited to examine how social enterprises influence policy and large-scale social change

Mumbai: The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will organise the South Asian Conference on Policy Advocacy and Social Entrepreneurship on February 13 and 14, 2026. It aims to bring together researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policymakers from South Asia and beyond.

The conference focuses on the growing role of social enterprises in shaping public policy, and creating system-wide social impact. It seeks to bridge gaps in existing research by examining how social entrepreneurs engage with governments, influence decision-making, and build legitimacy through sociocultural and policy advocacy.

The organisers have invited abstracts of around 2,000 words that explore the intersection of social entrepreneurship, politics, and advocacy. Both empirical and conceptual papers are welcome, particularly those addressing advocacy strategies, organisational dynamics, policy entrepreneurship, collaborative governance, and methods to assess advocacy impact. Registration for paper presenters will remain open from January 1 to January 30, 2026, while registration for other delegates will be open until February 14, 2026

Registration fees vary by category and nationality, with separate rates for students, research scholars, and other delegates, and optional accommodation available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The conference will take place at the TISS campus in Mumbai. All submissions and queries can be addressed to cse.conference@tiss.ac.in
