City Congress to hold protest, show black flags. The Congress party on Wednesday announced it would be showing black flags to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy during his visit on March 6.

Terming the PM’s visit as political, the party would be protesting against his statement that the Congress was responsible for the spread of Covid in north India and repeated insult of Maratha king Shivaji allegedly by BJP leaders.

“At an election rally recently, the Prime Minister accused the state Congress of spreading Covid in north India. We will condemn it by staging a protest against the Prime Minister during his visit to the city and would show black flags to his convoy,” said city Congress chief Ramesh Bagawe.
