Most positions are located in Pune and Khodad, although NCRA may move staff to other campuses, including Ooty, based on operational needs.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Eligibility criteria vary by position. Some of the details are as follows:
- Project Administrative Officer: Must be a Graduate with 60% marks, and possess either a management or administration qualification, and have five years of relevant work experience. Must have good computer skills.
- Project Administrative Assistant: Must be a Graduate with 55% marks and have three years of work experience in accounts or administration or either of the two plus a purchase/stores experience.
- Project Technical Assistant: A graduate in Science or holder of a Diploma in Electronics or allied fields is eligible and must possess relevant technical work experience. Different technical streams have different eligibility criteria.
- Engineer Trainee (Servo): Must have completed BE/BTech in Electronics or in the field of Electronics & Communication with at least 60% marks.

- Tradesman Trainee (Electrical): Must be a holder of NTC or NAC in the Electrical trade and must possess a valid electrical wireman licence.

The maximum age for different positions is as follows:
- Project Administrative Officer: 40 years
- Project Administrative Assistant: 33 years
- Most of the Technical and Trainee Posts: 28 years

Project Duration
One significant difference candidates should note is the type of employment:
- Posts 1 to 5 are related to the SKA project and are offered on a three-year employment contract.
- Positions 6 to 9 are trainee positions and are of one year's employment with the option to extend for a second year based on the performance of the trainee. A trainee position does not assure employment in the permanent service.
