Mumbai: The National Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology at the University of Mumbai (NCNNUM) has invited applications for the post of project assistant, which is to be occupied on a temporary basis, for an initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. This project is stated to be centred on the development of sustainable biomining technology for the recycling of the critical metals, indium and strontium, from electronic waste.
Being of a temporary nature, the position is to be held for a duration of a single year. The project assistant is to receive a salary of ₹30,000 per month during this period.
Applicants are required to have either a first-class Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology and/or Microbiology, or a C.G.P.A. over 6.5 in the same subject(s). A minimum of two years of experience in handling microorganisms, and any allied work is preferred.
Candidates are required to provide complete and accurate biodata, qualifications, as well as any valid documents including testimonials and certificates at the time of submitting the application form. This form must also be signed with ink, before being e-mailed to the Principal Investigator at NCNNUM.
Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their experience and its relevance to the scope of the project. The shortlisting round is to be followed by interviews, the date for which will be communicated to the candidates. No Travelling or Dearness Allowance (T.A./D.A.) will be provided to appear for this round. At the time of the interview, shortlisted candidates will be required to present the original editions of all relevant documents along with a copy of each for the purpose of verification.
