Pune: The Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF), a distinguished non-profit organisation with a 26-year legacy dedicated to advancing girl child education, has announced the opening of applications for its 2023 scholarship program. LPF's mission is to empower women through merit-cum-need-based scholarships and skill-building initiatives.
The LPF scholarship program aims to provide financial support to Indian women pursuing higher education in select districts across India. Scholarships are available for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with specific eligibility criteria for each category.

Applicants should note that scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and some courses have specific application deadlines.
To be eligible for the LPF scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Total annual family income should not exceed INR 3,50,000/-
- Application form fee is INR 300/- (online payment)
- Eligibility criteria vary by course, district, and specialisation
Scholarship amounts also vary by category, with maximum annual amounts ranging from INR 50,000/- to INR 80,000/-.
Applicants are advised to prepare the necessary documents, including proof of age, academic records, admission letters, income proof, and more, before starting the online application process. A hard copy of the application form must be submitted in person at the LPF office.
The LPF scholarship is awarded for a period of three to four academic years, contingent upon the student's academic performance. Applicants must maintain a minimum overall score of 60% each academic year in the same college.
To apply for the LPF scholarship, follow these steps:
1. Read and understand the terms and conditions on the LPF official website.
2. Register and complete the login process to receive a username and password.
3. Login to your account and complete all six steps of the online application.
4. Make the online payment in step 7.
5. Print one copy of the application form.
6. Attach a photograph and ensure both the student and parent sign the form at the designated locations.
7. Submit the hard copy of the form along with the required documents at the LPF office in person.
It is essential for candidates to visit the respective LPF office for the submission of application forms.
