Kline Memorial School Reduces Fees By 15%, Bouncers Replaced With Guards

Pune: Kline Memorial School’ Principal Sunanda Singh today said in a press conference that parents who argued with the lady school administrator and the security guard have defaulted paying the school fees for 3 years to the tune of Rs five lakhs.

After the Maharashtra State Government asked the Pune police to file case against the school staff, the Principal addressed a press conference with a lawyer at the Patrakar Bhavan.On March 9, at Kline Memorial High School in Bibwewadi, a parent who went to oppose school lab fees was beaten by a school bouncer.According to the information given by police, Mangesh Gaikwad’s son is studying at the school in the Std. IX. The school has been conducting online classes for the past two years due to the Covid -19 pandemic. However, the lab and the library fees are still being charged by the school. School fees have also been increased.After this, once again Gaikwad and other parents had gone to the school to meet the Principal. There was an argument between the bouncer and the parents. In this, a female bouncer pushed Gaikwad.

A press release from the school states that on March 9, 2022, the school arranged a regular Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) for Std. VIII. Some of the Std IX parents who entered the school campus were not called for this meeting. The Principal was busy with Std. VIII PTM. But these parents insisted that the Principal must give time to them.”Principal Sunanda Singh informed that “The lady security guard and others were kept for the protection of students which includes more than 90% lady teachers and support staff in the school. The school was having ICSE Board Examination on March 12, 2022. The school is bound to give protection to lady staff and students because Kline Memorial School is providing quality education.”

“The number of admissions requests from various politicians, sometimes they force to give admission. The school has an admission policy and the admissions are denied by the school. They try to interfere in the Minority school and create recurs. In spite of defaulting fees, school-provided online and offline education as per the covid norms of the government during the pandemic situation”, she added further.

Lastly, Sunanda Singh informed that the school has replaced the bouncers who were a kind of reason for everyone’s inconvenience. She said that the school will now have guards for security purposes. Along with this Singh explained that the Management of the school decided to reduce 15% of the tuition fee. “But the school will charge money for certain things which are used by the students like infrastructure, etc.”, she added further.She concluded by saying that the school is committed to giving quality education to all strata for all the members of the community. Local police have received direction from Mantralaya to file the FIR against the school Minority which is illegal.
