KBCNMU to Host National Seminar on IPR for Protecting Traditional Knowledge and Innovations

The one-day national seminar will be held on 26 February 2026 at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.

Jalgaon: The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (KBCNMU), in association with the School of Chemical Sciences, will organise a One Day National Seminar on “IPR for Protecting Traditional Knowledge and Innovations – 2026.” The event is on 26 February 2026 at the Senate Hall, KBCNMU Campus. 

Funded under the SPRIHA project of DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and co-sponsored by KB IP Services, Pune, the seminar aims to promote awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and strengthen the bridge between Intellectual Property (IP) and the Indian Knowledge System (IKS).

The event will bring together academicians, researchers, legal experts, patent professionals and industry representatives to discuss protection and enforcement of Geographical Indications (GI), recent advances in patenting, copyrights for academia and career opportunities in IPR. An “IPR Wisdom Quiz Contest” will also be organised as a special attraction.

Registration is open to students, teachers, industry delegates and innovators with a nominal fee of ₹100. The last date for registration is 22 February 2026 or until 200 participants are registered, whichever is earlier. No spot registration will be allowed.
