Pune: India’s first Life Transformation Centre (LTC) in the higher education sector will be inaugurated on March 12, 2026, at Boribel in Daund taluka of Pune district. The initiative has been developed by MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) as a dedicated space focused on personal growth, experiential learning and value-based education for students and youth.
The inauguration ceremony will be attended by several distinguished guests, including Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, and spiritual leader Swami Ramdev, founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust. The presence of national and state leaders highlights the significance of the initiative in promoting holistic education and youth development.
The Life Transformation Centre has been conceptualised as a platform where participants can engage in experiential learning, leadership development, and self-reflection within a natural environment. Designed around the idea of connecting individuals with nature and society, fostering emotional well-being, ethical values and life skills that support holistic personal transformation.
The centre, spread across a large natural landscape, has been conceptualised as an environment where young learners can reconnect with nature while exploring leadership, ethics and self-reflection. Educationist Dr. Rahul Karad, associated with the MIT group, said the project aims to help students cultivate responsible citizenship and contribute meaningfully to society through value-based education.
