Pune: The Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology at Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute (Deemed to be University), Pune, has announced a two-month online Certificate Course in Gender Archaeology.
The course aims to examine gender as a structuring principle in past societies and critically engage with traditional archaeological interpretations that often reflect patriarchal assumptions. Rooted in feminist archaeology, the programme encourages students to question long-standing narratives about the roles of men, women, and marginalized genders in historical contexts.
