Deccan College Invites Admissions for M.A. Courses

Admissions will be subject to course capacity, entrance tests and interviews.

Pune: Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute has opened admissions to its Master of Arts (M.A.) programmes. The institute is accepting applications as of 16th March, 2026.
 
The M.A. courses offered by Deccan College include Ancient Indian History, Culture (A.I.H.C) & Archaeology; Linguistics; Sanskrit & Lexicography. Each course is divided into 4 Semesters and will be covered over a period of two years.

The A.I.H.C & Archaeology and Linguistics programmes are open to any graduate. The Sanskrit & Lexicography course is restricted to candidates who either have a Bachelor of Arts in Sanskrit or have had Sanskrit as a subsidiary subject alongside their primary discipline.

A.I.H.C & Archaeology has an intake capacity of 70 seats while the two other programmes each have a limit of 60 seats.

For the admission process, candidates are required to first fill the application form online through the official website of Deccan College and then submit a hard copy of the same to the institute. They are to be addressed to “Academic Section, Deccan College, Post-Graduate & Research Institute, (Deemed to University) Pune-411 006”.

The last date for receipt of the hard copy is 10th June, 2026.
