Private Schools demands to exempt late fee penalty of road taxes related to school buses

Delhi: Action Committee Of Unaided Private Schools. (Regd.), Delhi. writes a letter to the Commissioner of Transport, Government of NCT Delhi, regarding the road taxes for school buses. Committee demands to exempt late fee penalty of road taxes related to school buses. 

       Bharat Arora the General Secretary of Action Committee of Unaided Private Schools sent this letter to Commissioner of Transport, Government of NCT Delhi.    As per the rule generated, school buses are exempted from paying road taxes. The private schools were made to fill and submit the exemption form along with the required documents for the year 2020 and 2021, before 31st March. Both the years had restricted movements due to the pandemic situations; as a result the schools were unable to submit the required documents on time. During the pandemic situations school buses were not even running on road as instructed by the government as per Covid-19 guidelines, Bharat Arora said in the letter. 

        According to Bharat Arora the schools are willing to make the required payments but they request to fill the required documents of the previous year along with the present year 2022. The exemption of late fee penalty would be reduced due to the delay is also requested by the schools.
