ICT Mumbai Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow Post

Opportunity under RGSTC-funded project on sustainable recycling technology; applications open till January 26

Mumbai: The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a sponsored research project. The project is focusing on sustainable circular technology for recycling Plaster of Paris waste.

The project is sponsored by the Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission (RGSTC), Government of Maharashtra.It is  titled “Development of Sustainable Circular Technology for Recycling the Plaster of Paris Waste into Useful Products.”

The project will be carried out under the supervision of Prof. A. B. Pandit, and the total project duration is two years. The selected candidate will initially be appointed for one year, with the possibility of extension until the completion of the project based on performance.

The selected fellow will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹37,000 plus 24 per cent House Rent Allowance (HRA). Interested candidates are required to submit their application, along with a cover letter and detailed CV in a single PDF file, via email to ab_pandit@ictmumbai.edu.in on or before January 26, 2026.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview schedule through email. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. The selected candidate may also be eligible to enrol in the PhD programme at ICT, subject to fulfilling the institute’s admission criteria.
