YESummit 2025 Concludes Successfully at Jamia Millia Islamia, Inspiring Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation

New Delhi : The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), Jamia Millia Islamia successfully organized YESummit 2025 on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the university campus. The day-long summit brought together eminent academicians, industry leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and students on a common platform to promote youth entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, and social impact.

The inaugural session was graced by distinguished guests including Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, JMIProf. Mohammad Sharif, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & TechnologyMr. Mathew Mattam, Founder, YouthAid FoundationMr. Ravindra Singh Rathore, Country Manager, UPSMr. Ghulam Mustafa, and President & CEO, ALMEER Saudi Technical Co.

The summit commenced with the Inaugural Session, beginning with Tilawat-e-Qur’an, followed by a welcome address by Prof. Rihan Khan Suri, Director, CIE, who highlighted the Centre’s vision of nurturing innovation-driven and socially responsible entrepreneurs. Prof. Simi Malhotra, Professor In-Charge, CIE, in her opening remarks, emphasized the importance of experiential learning and industry-academia collaboration.

The Presidential Address was delivered Prof. Mazhar Asif, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, in his Presidential Address, emphasized the pivotal role of universities in nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and socially responsible leadership. He highlighted that platforms like YESummit provide students with real-world exposure, enabling them to transform ideas into impactful ventures. Prof. Asif lauded the efforts of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in creating an enabling ecosystem for startups and skill development, and encouraged young minds to pursue entrepreneurship not merely as a career option, but as a powerful tool for nation-building, employment generation, and inclusive growth.

After the inaugural session, the bakery products prepared by the students of the Advanced Bakery Training and Basic Bakery Training programmes were beautifully presented to all the dignitaries. The gesture was widely appreciated and showcased the hands-on skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial potential developed through the skill-based training programmes run under CIE.

The summit further featured a thought-provoking Panel Discussion on “Sustainability and Social Impact – Building Businesses that Help Communities”, with participation from leading entrepreneurs and startup ecosystem experts. The post-lunch session witnessed an energetic startup pitching competition, where young innovators presented their business ideas before an esteemed jury.

The event concluded with a Valedictory Session, prize distribution to winning teams, and words of encouragement from industry leaders, reinforcing the commitment of CIE, Jamia Millia Islamia to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development among youth.

YESummit 2025 stood as a testament to Jamia Millia Islamia’s continued efforts in building an inclusive and vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that bridges academia, industry, and society.
