Kolkata: West Bengal State University has invited an application for the post of Junior Research Fellowship for DBT sanctioned Project by Department of Botany.

Title of the Project: “Development of Biological Control Technology for invasive species, Polyalthia suberosa, Hamjam in Wild Life Sanctuary of Bethuadahari, West Bengal”.

The DBT sanctioned project will take place under the PI, Dr. Krishna Ray till its termination period.’

Salary: Rs.31, 000/- per month+24%HRA

Educational Qualifications: Candidate having Degree of M.Sc in Botany/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ any branch of Life Science with NET/GATE qualification, ready to do both lab and field work.

Desirable: Earlier experience of handling bacterial and fungal species isolation, molecular identification and artificial inoculation of plants under lab conditions.

Tenure: Temporary, till the completion of the project.
