West Bengal will modernise government schools by introducing smart classrooms, AI- based learning, digital tools and upgraded infrastructure to enhance the quality of education

The West Bengal government has unveiled a comprehensive plan to modernise schools that are run by the state government by introducing smart classrooms, digital learning tools, upgraded infrastructure and AI in school education. The initiative aims to improve the quality of teaching and equip students with the skills required in a technology-driven world.

 

As per the announcement made by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, government schools across the state will be equipped with smart classrooms featuring digital teaching aids, video-based learning systems, and modern educational technologies. The initiative also includes infrastructure upgrades to create better learning environments for students while strengthening access to digital education.

 

The state government also plans to introduce artificial intelligence into the school curriculum to give students early exposure to emerging technologies while strengthening digital literacy and technology-enabled learning. Teachers will also receive support and training to effectively use digital tools, making classroom teaching more interactive and engaging.

 

The school modernisation initiative is aimed at strengthening public education through classrooms, improved digital infrastructure and upgraded school facilities. The state seeks to create a more inclusive, innovative and future-ready system for students in government schools with the help of this initiative.
