WBBPE Announces Schedule for D.El.Ed Part-I External Evaluation 2024–2026 Session

Kolkata, October 2025: The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has released an official notification announcing the schedule for the D.El.Ed. Part-I External Evaluation under the Pre-Internship Process-Based Teaching Learning Skill Enhancement Programme (Practicum-I/P-I) for the 2024–2026 session.

According to the notification (No. 1372/WBBPE/D.El.Ed/2025/99P-09/2025), the external evaluation will take place from November 3 to November 15, 2025, across all government, government-sponsored, government-aided D.El.Ed. institutions, including District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and self-financed colleges.

Principals of the concerned institutions have been instructed to inform trainees about their evaluation dates, timings, and required materials. Examiners and evaluators will receive their official credentials and related documents via SMS, ensuring confidentiality and secure data management.

Each evaluator will assess 25 trainees per day, with attendance and marks to be recorded in prescribed formats provided by the Board. Institutional heads have been directed to maintain confidentiality and ensure the smooth conduct of the evaluation process in compliance with WBBPE’s guidelines.

The Board further stated that any additional arrangements required for seamless evaluation may be implemented by the heads of institutions with prior intimation to the Board, provided they adhere to the existing rules and regulations.

The WBBPE reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, fair, and standardized evaluation process for all trainee teachers under the D.El.Ed. programme across West Bengal.
