WB NEET UG Counselling 2026: 10,085 Candidates in Round 1 List

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has published the revised provisional merit list for WB NEET UG 2026 Round 1 and has included 10,085 candidates for participation in the next stage of counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions. This does not mean that there are 10,085 seats created for these admissions. This is an important distinction as the merit list does not indicate the number of seats created or the final allotments made.

The counselling is for admissions into MBBS and BDS courses offered at various government and private colleges in the state of West Bengal through the NEET UG 2026. The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) conducts online counselling for all government and private medical and dental colleges, as well as specified private medical and dental colleges, within the quota system.

Personally funded dental colleges show the same pattern. Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences and Research has charged admission fees of ₹2 lakh under the state quota and ₹5.5 lakh under the management quota. Gurunanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Kusum Devi Sunderlal Dugar Jain Dental College, and Sanaka Institute of Dental Science have all reported management quota fees of ₹6 lakh per year.

Candidates should check the fee structure in detail before confirming their choices, especially for management quota seats.
