New Delhi, August : In a vibrant display of patriotism and national pride, St. Vivekanand Senior Secondary School, Ladpur organised a grand Tiranga Yatra in collaboration with the District Administration ahead of India's 80th Independence Day celebrations.
The rally began from the District Magistrate's Office in Kanjhawala, bringing together students, teachers, and senior administrative officials in a united celebration of the nation's spirit. Waving the Tricolour and chanting patriotic slogans, hundreds of students marched with discipline and enthusiasm, spreading the message of unity, integrity, and responsible citizenship.
The event was graced by Ms. Saumya Saurabh, IAS, District Magistrate, North-West District, Ms. Vishakha Yadav, IAS, District Magistrate, North-West Outer District, and Mr. Shiv Singh Meena, DANICS, SDM Mundka, whose presence inspired the young participants.
The programme commenced with a soulful rendition of "Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain," creating a patriotic atmosphere. Mr. Yuvraj, Principal of St. Vivekanand Senior Secondary School, welcomed the distinguished guests and honoured them with portraits of Swami Vivekananda and traditional angvastras as a gesture of respect and gratitude.
Addressing the gathering, the District Magistrates urged students to uphold the values of discipline, unity, civic responsibility, and patriotism, reminding them that the nation's future lies in the hands of its youth.
At 11:00 AM, the two IAS officers ceremonially flagged off the Tiranga Yatra and joined the students in the march towards Ladpur. Their participation added to the enthusiasm of the event, reinforcing the importance of public participation in nation-building initiatives.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by the students to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution and contribute positively towards the country's development.
More than just a ceremonial march, the Tiranga Yatra reflected the spirit of a united India, showcasing the power of youth participation and the enduring pride associated with the Indian National Flag.
