Haryana: Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, has been honored with the 'Shiksha Ratna Award' 2022. He has been honored with this honor by Reverie Language Technologies at the Higher Education Conclave held in Delhi. As the Vice Chancellor, he has been given this honor for the development of Information Technology and for effectively implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the CUH. He was honored with this award at a felicitation function held in Delhi.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar has given the credit of this achievement to all the participants and colleagues of the University. He said that all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the University have played an important role in implementing the National Education Policy. The University has been successful in implementing it with the collective effort of one and all. He has congratulated the entire team of the University for this achievement. The Vice Chancellor has said that the University can achieve all such achievements only by working as a team. The University is on the path of progress. Efforts are being made by the University administration in this direction to provide world class education to the students of the University.

It is worth mentioning that the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Tankeshwar Kumar, has been playing an important role in giving a new direction to Higher Education in Haryana State since last decade. Due to this, he has been honored with the Best Vice Chancellor Award 2020, Vidyasagar Award 2017, LifeTime Achievement Award 2016, Education Leadership Award 2016 as well as special honors from Amity University. He has been doing excellent work in the field of education and research for the last 35 years.

He said that besides information technology, technological advancement and successful implementation of New National Education Policy, Central University of Haryana under the guidance of Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar is acting as a guide for other institutions.  Working sincerely as a true leader, he is giving a new direction to the future of Haryana and the country.
