Bangaluru : The high court finalised its verdict regarding the CET repeaters’ petition on Monday. Justice SR Krishna said that the interim arrangement as per August 8,2022 order will be in force till the pronouncement of the order in these petitions.

On August 8, the court made it crystal clear that the ongoing document verification process held by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will not be biased and the same kind of rules and regulations will be carried on as it did earlier and will also be a subject to further orders to be passed in the batch of petitions filed by CET repeaters.

The petitioners claimed that there is a clear discrimination when it comes to considering 2nd PU performance of freshers and repeaters. They claim that since qualifying marks of 2nd PU awarded to them last year hadn’t been considered, they will be at a greater disadvantage vis-s-vis fresh candidates.

They have sought for a direction to consider the marks obtained by them in the respective subjects of the qualifying exam (2nd PU of 2020-21) along with CET marks in equal proportionality, while declaring the ranking.
