UPSC Declares CDS (II) 2025 Final Results: 302 Candidates Qualify for Defense Academies

Selected candidates to join IMA, INA and Air Force Academy after clearing SSB interviews. Final merit list is released; candidature remains provisional pending document verification.

NEW DELHI: According to official data, the merit list comprises 190 candidates for IMA, 85 for INA, and 27 for AFA, though some candidates appear in more than one list. The number of vacancies notified includes 100 seats for IMA, 26 for INA, and 32 for AFA, with certain seats reserved for candidates holding NCC ‘C’ certificates across Army, Navy, and Air Force wings. The Commission had earlier shortlisted a much larger pool of candidates based on the written examination, with 2,666 candidates qualifying for IMA, 814 for INA, and 636 for AFA. The final list reflects those who successfully cleared the rigorous SSB selection process. However, the results of medical examinations have not yet been considered in the preparation of the merit list.

UPSC has clarified that the candidature of all selected candidates is provisional, subject to verification of essential documents such as date of birth and educational qualifications by the respective service headquarters. Candidates have been advised to submit original certificates along with attested copies to the Army, Naval, or Air Headquarters based on their preference, and to update any changes in address promptly.

The final results have been made available on the official UPSC website, while individual marks will be released after the declaration of results for the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) course. Candidates can also reach out to the UPSC facilitation counter for further assistance regarding the selection process.
