UP Board Announces 7,448 Exam Centres for 2026; Total Number Drops Compared to Previous Years

UPMSP has released 7,448 exam centres for the 2026 UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams. Students and parents can submit objections until December 4. Final list will be published on December 30. Check district-wise process and exam dates.

Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the provisional list of examination centres for the 2026 UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 exams, featuring 7,448 centres across the state. According to media reports, the list includes:

  • 910 government schools
  • 3,484 aided schools
  • 3,054 unaided schools

The number of exam centres has declined compared to previous years, with UPMSP focusing on stricter norms, transparency, and the elimination of overcrowded or non-compliant centres.

Objection Window Open Until December 4

Students, parents, school principals, and managers may file objections regarding the assigned exam centres. Complaints must be submitted online on the UPMSP portal in the prescribed format, along with supporting documents.
The last date for submission of objections is December 4, 2025.

District-Level Verification

All objections will undergo scrutiny by the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS).
The revised list, approved by the District Centre Determination Committee, will be uploaded by December 11, 2025.

After this, a second round of objections will be accepted until December 22, 2025.

Final Centre List on December 30

The State Centre Determination Committee will review the remaining objections and publish the final list of exam centres on December 30, 2025.

For the first time, UPMSP has introduced an official, standardised format for submitting objections to ensure fairness and transparency.
Notably, Prayagraj alone has been allocated 258 exam centres for the 2026 board exams.

UP Board Exam Dates 2026

The 2026 UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations will be held from February 18 to March 12, 2026 in two shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 8:30 AM – 11:45 AM
  • Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 5:15 PM
