Lucknow: On friday, the second day of the induction program titled “Deekshaarambh” was concluded at University of Lucknow where students of the PG programme witnessed series of addresses by esteemed university officials. The Induction Program was started with Deep Prajwalan followed by the Kulgeet (university’s anthem). The event was graced by eminent faculty members from the faculty of Arts, Education, Fine Arts and Commerce.
Moreover, Dr. Kritika Agrawal was hosting the programme where she introduced students from the distinguished panel of invited faculties of various departments. The invited guest of the Induction program included Prof. Alok Kumar Rai (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Manuka Khanna (Pro Vice Chancellor), Prof. Arvind Mohan (Dean, Faculty of Arts), Prof. Dinesh Kumar (Dean, Faculty of Education), and Prof. Ratan Kumar (Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts).
The programme was forwarded with the heartfelt address of respective Vice Chancellor of University of Lucknow Prof. (Dr.) Alok Kumar Rai who firstly congratulated students to become part of the university. He further told students about the historical significance of the university stating it as one of the founding stone of modern education in India. He also let students to realize with their responsibility as a student telling them to understand the duty they should possess during their academic journey. He lastly appreciated the hardwork of students who make out to take admission in the University of Lucknow.
Furthermore, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Lucknow Prof (Dr.) Manuka Khanna on her address emphasized on the policies of the university adhered with the unlawful act like Ragging. She told students about the actions taken on unlawful practices and requested students to not involve in any kind of such acts. She also ensured students to feel free and safe at the campus by ensuring her assistance at the time of emergencies. Altogether, Dr. Manuka showed her support to the students and pointed out the policies formulated for the well being of the students.
On the occasion of Induction programme Deans of various faculties also deep down their thoughts and addressed the students. On one hand where the Dean of faculty of Arts Prof (Dr.) Arvind Mohan on this day welcomed students and make students to understand the value of creativity whereas, Dean of Education Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar and Dean of Fine Arts Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar encouraged students to fulfill their dream by focusing on learning and earning skills.
Lastly, the Induction programme concluded with some essential information, bodies and plans associated with the university followed with a vote of thanks given by Prof. (Dr.) Shashi Bhushan (Additional Dean Student Welfare), leaving students inspired and eager to begin their academic journey at University of Lucknow, equipped with the values and traditions that have shaped generations before them.
