University of Ladakh starts schools of Agricultural and Horticultural Science & Technology, opens UG and PG Admissions.

The post-graduation programmes include M.Tech. in soil & water conservation engineering and food technology, as well as M.Sc. courses in forestry, horticulture, and fruit science. Candidates applying for these programmes must have completed relevant bachelor's degrees with at least 60% aggregate marks for the general category students and 55% for ST/SC and other reserved categories.

Ladakh: In the University of Ladakh, agricultural and horticultural science & technology have announced admissions for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fields including agriculture, horticulture, forestry, fisheries, food technology, and soil conservation engineering. 


The post-graduation programmes include M.Tech. in soil & water conservation engineering and food technology, as well as M.Sc. courses in forestry, horticulture, and fruit science. Candidates applying for these programmes must have completed relevant bachelor's degrees with at least 60% aggregate marks for the general category students and 55% for ST/SC and other reserved categories. 
For undergraduate admission, the college is offering B.Sc. (Hons.) Agricultural, B.Sc. Horticulture, and Bachelor of Fisheries Science, B.F.Sc students who have passed class we or equivalent examination with the subject including physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics or agriculture, along with English, are eligible to apply. General category students must secure at least 55%marks, while ST/SC and other reserved category students require 50%. 

The programs are designed for students to provide technical knowledge in agriculture and allied sectors, which continue to play an important role in India’s rural economy and food systems. Fields such as food technology, horticulture, fisheries, and agro-forestry are also seeing demand because of the growth in agricultural innovation, sustainability, and food processing industries.
