University of Kashmir Announces Interdisciplinary Short Term Programme on Research Methodology

The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at the University of Kashmir is hosting an offline Short-Term Programme on Research Methodology (Interdisciplinary) from April 6th to April 13th, 2026. This faculty development initiative is open to educators from Universities, Colleges, NITs, IITs, and Agricultural Universities. Under the leadership of Director Prof. Nazir Ahmed Nazir and the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan, the program offers free registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested faculty must apply via the official UGC portal by April 1st, 2026.

Kashmir, India, the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), formerly known as the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre at the University of Kashmir, has officially announced an upcoming Short-Term Programme on Research Methodology (Interdisciplinary). This specialized training is scheduled to take place from April 6th to April 13th, 2026. In a move to ensure high-quality, direct engagement, the university has confirmed that the entire programme will be conducted in Offline Mode at the main campus.

The training session will be hosted at the UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, located at the University of Kashmir's picturesque campus in Hazratbal, Srinagar, Kashmir (J&K) - 190 006. Led by Director Prof. Nazir Ahmed Nazir and Deputy Director Prof. Sumeer Gul, the initiative operates under the patronage of Prof. Nilofer Khan, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University.

This interdisciplinary programme is open to Faculty Members currently serving in various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Eligible participants include educators from:

  • Universities and Colleges.
  • National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
  • Agricultural Universities.

Notably, the university has announced that there is No Registration Fee for this programme. However, interested educators should act quickly, as admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, and the programme requires a minimum number of participants to proceed.

The application process is strictly online through the official UGC Malaviya Mission portal. The deadline for submission of the online application form is April 1st, 2026.

  1. Visit the official portal at https://mmc.ugc.ac.in.
  2. Log in (or register if it is your first time) and navigate to the Dashboard.
  3. Select the tab for Apply for Guru Dakshta (FIP), Refresher Course & Short Term Programme/FDP.
  4. From the programme drop-down menu, choose Short Term Programme on Research Methodology (Interdisciplinary).
  5. Select University of Kashmir as the Centre Name, complete the form, and submit.
