University of Allahabad Invites Applications for PhD Admissions Under Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme 2026-27
Prayagraj : The University of Allahabad has invited applications for full-time PhD admissions under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT, Phase-II, for the academic session 2026-27. The available PhD position is in the Department of Electronics and Communication, with the area of coverage including Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) and Information Technology/IT Enabled Services (IT/ITES).

Selected candidates can also receive financial support of up to ₹1.5 lakh for attending international conferences.
From the third year onwards, candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility requirements may also receive support for visits to international laboratories, as per the terms and conditions of the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme.

The admission process will be conducted in two stages — Stage I and Stage II.
Stage I: Screening Test
The screening test will be conducted offline at the University of Allahabad campus.

Working candidates are required to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer and attach it to their application.
For date-of-birth verification, only the Matriculation/SSC certificate or pass certificate issued by the concerned educational board will be accepted.
