New Delhi : United India Insurance Company (UIIC), a public sector general insurance company wholly owned by the Government of India, has invited online applications for 225 Administrative Officer (Scale I) posts under its 2026 recruitment drive. The vacancies include 200 Administrative Officer-Generalists and 25 Administrative Officer-Hindi Officers.

According to the recruitment notification dated September 7, 2026, eligible Indian citizens can submit their applications online from September 8 to September 28, 2026. The recruitment process will include a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Descriptive Test and Interview.

UIIC AO Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details

The recruitment has been announced for the following disciplines:

Educational Qualification

Administrative Officer – Generalists

Candidates applying for the Generalist discipline must have:

  • A Graduate Degree or Postgraduate Degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
  • The qualification can include disciplines such as Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture and Data Science, among others.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in either degree examination.
  • The minimum marks requirement is 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
  • The required qualification must have been obtained on or before June 30, 2026.
  • Working knowledge of computers is mandatory.

Administrative Officer – Hindi Officers

Candidates applying for the Hindi Officer discipline must fulfil the prescribed Master's degree requirements involving Hindi and English. The notification specifies several eligible combinations, including:

  • Master's Degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination at degree level; or
  • Master's Degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination; or
  • Master's Degree in another subject with the prescribed Hindi-English language and medium combinations.

Candidates must generally have secured 60% marks, with the minimum reduced to 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, as prescribed in the notification.

UIIC AO Age Limit 2026

The age limit will be calculated as on June 30, 2026.

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Maximum age: 30 years
  • Candidates should have been born between June 30, 1996 and June 30, 2005, both dates inclusive.

Upper-age relaxation is available for eligible categories according to the rules specified by UIIC.

UIIC AO Selection Process 2026

The selection process consists of online examinations and an interview.

The stages are:

  1. Tier I – Preliminary Examination
  2. Tier II – Main Examination
  3. Descriptive Test
  4. Interview

Candidates qualifying in the required stages will be shortlisted for the subsequent stage according to the criteria prescribed by UIIC.

Preliminary Examination

The Tier I Preliminary Examination will be conducted online for both Generalists and Hindi Officers.

It will carry 100 marks and will have a total duration of 60 minutes.

Sections include:

  • English Language – 30 questions, 30 marks
  • Reasoning – 35 questions, 35 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 35 questions, 35 marks

Each section will be separately timed for 20 minutes.

Main Examination for Generalists

For Generalist candidates, the Main Examination will consist of objective tests carrying 250 marks, followed by a 30-mark Descriptive Test.

The objective examination includes:

  • English Language – 40 questions, 50 marks
  • Reasoning – 50 questions, 60 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions, 60 marks
  • General Awareness with special reference to the Financial Sector – 40 questions, 60 marks
  • Computer Knowledge – 20 questions, 20 marks

The total duration of the objective Main Examination is 150 minutes.

The Descriptive Test will carry 30 marks and will include:

  • Letter Writing – 10 marks
  • Essay – 20 marks

The Descriptive Test will be conducted in English through the online mode.
