UGC NET June 2026 Exam Today, NTA Sends Good Luck
With the UGC NET June 2026 exam now underway, the NTA provides best wishes to all test takers and reminds them to follow the reporting instructions on their admit cards. The NTA posted on X (formerly Twitter) to send good wishes and positive energy to test takers of this pivotal exam for higher educational and research careers. The NTA acknowledges the motivation and effort of test takers on the exam, and for this purpose, they have had many months of preparation.
The UGC NET exam is the qualifying exam for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) position and for Assistant Professor positions. The UGC NET is also the qualifying exam for admission to PhD programs in higher educational institutions throughout all of India. For many of the test takers, the UGC NET June 2026 exam is the most important exam of the education and career pursuits.
From the NTA’s official statement, all candidates are instructed to arrive at the exam center ahead of the time indicated on the admit card and to follow all the instructions on the admit card. NTA advises candidates to be on time to ensure the exam process is not disrupted by late arrivals.
UGC NET June 2026 Shift Timings
Shifts for the examination are outlined below:
Shift I
- Entry to Examination Centre: 7:00 AM onward
- Examination: 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
Shift II
- Entry to Examination Centre: 1:30 PM onward
- Examination: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Candidates must keep all the necessary documents and their admit card and a photo id and must follow the examination directives prescribed by the organization.
The NTA's statement is a morale booster for the candidates sitting the examination across the country. The candidates must have full faith and keep a healthy body and mind during the examination. With test centers in many cities, the agency advises candidates to book travel ahead of time to plan for possible delays, such as traffic and other unexpected occurrences.
