New Delhi: Most importantly for the thousands of job aspirants across the country, the biggest results for major national-level examinations are expected to be declared soon. According to the NTA, this week, final answer keys and results for the UGC NET June 2026 exam covering 84 subjects, Joint CSIR-UGC NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) & AICE (PhD) 2026 will all be published on its website. This announcement was made by the NTA on 26th August.

This is particularly important to candidates of the UGC NET because the June exam was conducted for 87 subjects and the answer keys for the remaining three subjects namely English, Commerce and Sociology, which are scheduled to be conducted in September, will be published later.

UGC NET June 2026 Result: What NTA Has Announced

Based on the announcement by the NTA cited above, the following results and final answer keys will be published this week:

UGC NET June 2026 Final Answer Key: What Happens Before Result?

NTA has released the provisional answer keys for 84 UGC-NET subjects on 16th August 2026. Challenges, if any, can be submitted by the candidates. The challan time regime was fixed for 16th August to 18th August 2026, with a processing fee of ₹200 for each question challenged. The final answer key will be prepared after considering challenges submitted during the said regime and will be used for preparing the examination result. As per the established answer key policy of NTA, when a challenge is accepted after expert review, the revised answer is applied to the responses of all the candidates and not just the person who has objected.

What Will the UGC NET Result Determine?

For the three qualifying subjects, candidates will have to wait for the September re-examination for the results of that particular examination.

CSIR NET and ICAR Results Also Expected

The scope of the latest NTA notification goes beyond UGC NET. The agency has included the Joint CSIR-UGC NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (PhD) 2026 in its “this week” result timetable. The notice board of NTA, in the meantime, carries the provisional answer key challenge notices for CSIR-NET and ICAR’s postgraduate and Ph.D. examinations. In the meantime, candidates in these examinations will receive several updates from NTA on the outcome of their examinations.

Final Thoughts

The wait for UGC NET aspirants has been eased, but the outcome for aspirants for Ph.D. and postgraduate programs, CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (PhD), will be released this week according to the latest NTA notification.
