Examination Dates, City Intimation Slip, and Further Steps for Aspirants

For UGC NET June 2026 aspirants, the release of the City Intimation Slip has commenced one of the most critical phases of the examination process. The examination will be held from June 22 to June 30 for different subjects. Candidates should strategically use this time as the last stage of the examination and transportation planning. The announcement is particularly beneficial for candidates coming from long distances as it will allow them to book their transportation and accommodation well in advance.

Candidates should note that the city slip only shows in which city the examination will be conducted. It does not grant any sort of permission to appear in the examination. The candidates will be required to possess the official admit card and a valid ID in order to gain entry to the examination centre. The admit card is expected to be released by the NTA in due course, that is, closer to the date of the examination.

Considering the time remaining before the examination is about two weeks, the focus of the candidates should be on revision and practice. Mock tests should be taken in order to become familiar with the examination rules and procedures. Candidates should remain attentive to all official notifications to be abreast with the latest updates on the admit card and other time-related issues. UGC NET is one of the largest examinations held in India for eligibility to apply for the post of Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship, and PhD admission.
