Candidates can now access their scorecards and view the final subject-wise cut-offs on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, by logging in with their application number and date of birth. The results categorize qualified candidates into three distinct groups—Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs—marking a pivotal moment for students aiming to secure academic and research opportunities across Indian universities.

The wait is finally over for lakhs of aspirants across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) officially declared the results for the UGC NET December 2025 cycle yesterday, February 4, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now view and download their scorecards from the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Along with the results, the NTA has also released the final answer keys and subject-wise cut-offs for all 85 subjects.

The December 2025 cycle saw significant participation, with approximately 7.35 lakh candidates appearing for the exams held between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026.

If you haven't checked your result yet, follow these simple steps to access your scorecard:

Visit the official NTA UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
On the homepage, locate the link titled "UGC NET December 2025 Result / Score Card."
Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Security Pin displayed on the screen.
Click on Submit.
Your scorecard will appear on the screen. Download and print a copy for future reference (especially for counseling and interview processes).

What Next? Interpreting Your Scorecard
For students analyzing their results, it is crucial to understand the validity of the qualification:
JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Valid for 3 years from the date of result declaration (i.e., until February 4, 2029).
Assistant Professor: The eligibility for Assistant Professor is valid for a lifetime.
Ph.D. Admission: For candidates who qualified under "Category 2" or "Category 3," the NET score will be valid for Ph.D. admissions for one year.
