UGC Declares Rajeev Gandhi Institute of Technology & Management Fake: Warns Students Over Invalid Degrees From Rajasthan

Rajeev Gandhi Institute of Technology & Management declared unrecognized by UGC. Degrees issued by the institute will not be valid for jobs or higher education.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has declared the Rajeev Gandhi Institute of Technology & Management in Alwar, Rajasthan as a fake institution, cautioning students and parents against seeking admission there. According to the official notice, the institute is not recognised under the UGC Act, 1956, and is therefore not authorised to award any undergraduate or postgraduate degrees.

The UGC further clarified that any degrees issued by the institute will be considered invalid for both higher education and government employment. Issuing a strong advisory, the commission urged students and the public to avoid enrolling in such self-styled institutions, warning that doing so could severely impact academic and career prospects.
