Hyderabad - Indian Institute of Technology. Hyderabad (IIT-H) , through its Division of Flexible Learning (DFL), has launched the second edition of its online Masters of Science in Data Science (MSc. DS). The two-year, UGC approved program is fully online and aims to provide high quality data science education with the flexibility needed by working professionals and learners who cannot attend on-campus classes.
The program does not require an entrance examination, making it accessible to students from diverse academic backgrounds. It's Curriculum combines strong theoretical foundation with practical, industry focused applications, preparing learners for high demand roles in the data science field. Students are also given the flexibility to complete the degree within up to 4 years.
Speaking about the launch Prof. Venkatesh choppella, Associate Dean of DFL, said that the program addresses the growing demand of accessible and flexible data science education. IIT-H Director Professor Sandeep K. Shukla highlighted that the UGC-approved degree offers equal standing to on-campus Master's Program and enables learners to upskill from anywhere in the world.
Applications for the program are open until February 12, 2026, with classes starting on April 6, 2026.There is no application fee.
