'Veer Bala Kalibai', 'Maina ka Balidan’, 'Azadi Ki Kahani', ‘Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna’ and 'Bhola Ram Ka Jeev' staged. In the Children Theatre Festival

:- ‘Udaan’ with IGNCA organized Bal Rang Mahotsav :- The children from the slums of Saharanpur also were the part of the plays

 

New Delhi: Udaan The Center of Theatre Art and Child Development and Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, and Union Ministry of Culture organized the Bal Rang Mahotsav. Under the direction of theatre artist Sanjay Tuteja, five plays 'Veer Bala Kalibai', 'Maina ka Balidan’, 'Azadi Ki Kahani', ‘Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna’ and 'Bhola Ram Ka Jeev' were staged. In the festival, young artists captivated the children with their talent.

At the conclusion of Bal Rang Mahotsav, the plays were staged at the Samvet Auditorium, IGNCA. They were organized under the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Chief Guest of the program was Agrasen Medical College and National President of Indian Council of Education Jagdish Mittal, IGNCA organizer Achal Pandya, former MLA Anil Jha and special guest was Public Relations Specialist Gopendra Nath Bhatt. Special guest, Veena Goyal, Principal GLT Sarswati Bal Vidya Mandir commenced the program by lighting the lamp.

On this occasion, five children's plays were staged under the direction of theater artist and journalist Sanjay Tuteja. ‘Veer Bala Kalibai’, ‘Maina Ka Balidan’, ‘Sarfaroshi Ki Tamnna’ and ‘Azadi Ki Kahani’ were patriotic plays. Prabhat Sengar and Namita Sarkar directed, ‘Maina Ka Balidan’. ‘Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna’ was directed by Yogesh Panwar. Tamannaah directed ‘Azadi Ki Kahani’. A comedy drama ‘Bhola Ram Ka Jeev’ by Nuparth Choudhary and Anshu were also staged. The children from the slums of Saharanpur also were the part of the plays.

\Sanjay Tuteja, the director of Udaan and the director and convener of the program, said, “This year two Bal Rang Mahotsavs were organized by the Udaan group with the help of Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts and other institutions. First was organized on June 10, where plays like ‘Jadui Pencil’, ‘Anokhi Billi’ and ‘Jai Hind’ were staged. Hence, a total of eight theatre camps were organized, and they were staged. About 200 students were taught the tricks of theatre in the camp.”
