Haryana: Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh organized a Two-Day Virtual National Level Workshop on IPR, Copyrights and Patents. The workshop was organized in collaboration with SkillSlate - A non-profit organization working to make skills, education and opportunities accessible to all.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University said that such workshops are essential to educate students about the happenings in their field and guide them to secure their copyrights. Convener of the program Prof. Sunita Srivastava emphasized how patents and copyrights give their respective owners an edge in the market and can pave the way for the success of their idea and innovation. Dr. Sunita Tanwar, Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Cell, Central University of Haryana and Host of the program, introduced the theme of the workshop and assured participants that in the future Entrepreneurship Cell and Innovation Cell the Central University of Haryana will assist people for easier copyrights and patent filing. Ameya Agrawal, Founder, SkillSlate Foundation, encouraged the participants for an innovative approach in their field and how it can impact India’s position as a global leader in innovation. The resource person of the program, Dr. Jayashri Bangali, conducted the 2 Days technical session and introduced IPR, different types of copyrights and patents, and how one can file for these patents.
