Two day conference on Women's Health and Well Being fare started in CUH

Prof.Rumana Siddiqui, from AMU. DrRadheshyam from CBLU and Dr. Sonia Malik from MDU were also prominently present.

Haryana :- A two-day conference focused on Women's Health and Well-Being started from Thursday at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. Prof. GirishwarMisra,Former Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi VishwaVidyalayaWardha was present as the keynote speaker. The chief patron of this event and Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar highlighted in his address the importance of the topic and the discussions taking place under it and said that this conference, which will last for two days, will definitely help in preparing a future action plan towards women's health and welfare.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar expressed his gratitude to the organizers and guests and said that this event will definitely help in providing a new direction to achieve the set goals. In his address, the Vice Chancellor especially mentioned Haryana and the knowledge of Geeta related to it and said that women have always been an important part of social development. From history to the present, the role of women has been important in the development of any culture. As far as health and welfare is concerned, it is important for both men and women to move ahead with positive thinking in this direction. This two-day event is an effort to discuss in detail the status of women in the Indian environment and to explore possibilities of improvement through that discussion. The main speaker at the event was Prof. GirishwarMisrasaid that the condition of women is improving in India. Be it equal opportunities to work, study or opportunities to participate in the judiciary, executive and legislature. We are seeing that the condition of women is continuously improving in this direction, but still a lot of effort is left and for this it is necessary that an action plan should be prepared after discussions through such events. Prof. GirishwarMisra praised the Vice-Chancellor of the University and the organizers for organizing this two-day event.

Earlier, the program started with the lighting of the lamp and the university kulgeet. First of all, the Head of the Department of Psychology, Prof. PayalKanwarChandel presented the welcome speech and told that students, researchers and teachers from various educational institutions belonging to 15 states of the country have participated in the event and as far as the subject is concerned, this subject is very important for the betterment of the society. After this, referring to the goals of the event,  Prof. V.N. Yadav from the department said that through this event we will definitely be helpful in providing new momentum to the ongoing efforts at the level of women's health and welfare. Professor NeenaKohli, Chairperson of NAOP and Professor, Allahabad University present in the program informed about the objectives of the organization, its efforts and various positive works done through it. Along with this, she also gave information to the participants about the discussions taking place in various sessions during this two-day event. In this sequence, Dr. Sanjay Kumar of NAOP, while mentioning the current situation of women's health and welfare in India, said that this topic is important in today's time and discussing it in detail will prove helpful for the policy makers also. Program coordinator Dr. Ravi Pandey presented information about various sessions of the conference and its topics before the participants. At the end of the program, Dr. Pradeep Kumar expressed his gratitude. Let us tell you here that before this two-day conference, a seminar was also organized in the University on the subject of academic writing and application of forensic psychology in sexual violence, in which Dr. Krishna Kumar Mishra of National Forensic Science University and Dr. Tushar Singh of BHU were present as expert speakers. In the inaugural session of the conference, Prof. Purnima Awasthi and DrTushar Singh from BHU and Prof Purnima Singh from IIT Delhi. Prof. Naveen Kumar from Delhi University. Prof.Rumana Siddiqui, from AMU. DrRadheshyam from CBLU and Dr. Sonia Malik from MDU were also prominently present.
