Haryana: The two-day workshop held at the Department of Psychology of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh concluded on Thursday. In the valedictory session of this workshop organized with the aim of promoting their mental and spiritual strength along with discussion on the practical psychology related problems of the individual, District Deputy Commissioner Dr. J.K. Abhir was present as the Chief Guest. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar in his message said that through this workshop the participants have got an opportunity to understand the importance of knowledge of psychology.
Dr. J.K. Abhir described this workshop organized by the University, contemporary and said that due to the changed circumstances due to the Corona period, the importance of psychology experts has increased in the social environment. We can feel the change in the people at the practical and mental level in the society and the knowledge acquired through such events is very useful for the society. He said that often we learn a lot from the society but its meaning is only when we return it back to the society. The contribution of communication is important in this effort and special attention needs to be paid to the language and medium of communication to convey our point properly.
Dr. J.K. Abhir said that the knowledge acquired by the University from this platform and the experts gathered here will have meaning only when we convey it to the society. He said that surely through this workshop the experts working and studying in this field would be helped to know the important aspects of the subject. The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the contribution of the experts involved in the workshop including the Vice Chancellor and Psychology Department of the University and said that such events should be organized periodically. He also presented the idea of organizing such events at the nearby villages, blocks and district level in collaboration with the Department of Psychology.
Expert speakers at the event Dr. Jyoti Abhir, Business Expert and Behavior Analyst Archana Memgen Jain, Psychological Specialist and Teacher Avneet Kaur, Executive Director of Avanya, Preeti Chauhan and Dr. Surajmal, apprised the participants about the practical aspects of psychology in the field work. In her address on the occasion, Dr. Jyoti Aabhir called upon the participants to move ahead by respecting all the cultures. She inspired the participants by sharing her experiences. Dr. Shyam Sundar Sharma, Secretary, District Red Cross Society apprised the participants about the importance of matriarchy and motivated the students to work towards achieving their goals.
