Haryana: The two-day international conference is going to start from Thursday, November 24, at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. In the inaugural session of this conference, organized in collaboration with the International Geographical Union (IGU) and sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science  Research (ICSSR), the Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Punjab, Prof. R.P. Tiwari will be present as the chief guest and the first president of the International Geographical Union, Prof. Nathalie Lemarchand and Head of Department of Geography, Istanbul University, Turkey and Secretary General of International Geographical Union Prof. Barbaros Gonengil will be present as Guest of Honour while former Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University, Jaipur Prof. J. P. Singhal, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi Prof. Nageshwar Rao and Pro Vice Chancellor of Central University of Haryana, Prof. Sushma Yadav will be the Special Guest.   

The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar described this event important for the participants joining from various educational institutions of the country including students and researchers. He said that definitely this conference, organized in collaboration with IGU, would be helpful in knowing and understanding the various new changes going on in the field of geography. The coordinator of this two-day international conference organized by the University's Geography Department, Dr. Manish Kumar, Organizing Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar and Head of the Department of Geography, Dr. Jitendra Kumar told that various sessions will be organized in the two-day conference in which experts and participants from various educational institutions of the country will be included. He said that the inaugural session of the conference will addressed by the President of the International Geographical Union, Prof. Michael Meadows through a video message. Dr. Manish Kumar said that all the preparations for this event have been completed with the help of  Dr. Kheraj, Dr. C.M.Meena, Dr. Sandeep Rana and Dr. Kapil Dev, and definitely this event will prove to be useful for the participants.
