Top Young Talent from Across the Region Competes in High-Stakes Championship at JIRS Bengaluru Campus

Bengaluru: JAIN International Residential School (JIRS), the leading residential school of the country, successfully hosted the CBSE South Zone-II Tennis Tournament 2025 from 26th to 30th July. The tournament brought together over 400 players, coaches, and team managers from 65 schools across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, and other southern states.

The event commenced with an energetic Opening Ceremony featuring a March Past by the participating teams, the ceremonial lamp lighting by guest school players along with the host school team, and a welcome song and dance performance by JIRS students. Dignitaries present included Executive Council members of the school who officially flagged off the tournament.

Over four days, around 300 matches were played across Boys’ and Girls’ Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories. Teams displayed high levels of talent and sportsmanship, which made the tournament a memorable experience for participants and spectators alike.

Management at JAIN International Residential School said, “We are delighted to have hosted the CBSE South Zone-II Tennis Tournament 2025 at JIRS. The participation of 65 schools and over 400 players made these five days truly special. The dedication and sportsmanship shown by every team were commendable. We are glad that the visiting teams appreciated the facilities and hospitality provided on our campus. This event was made possible through the efforts of our staff, coaches, and student volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the tournament a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.”

JIRS offered top-quality facilities, including three-star accommodation and nutritious meals prepared as per CBSE guidelines. Supervised by Mr. Niranjan Ramesh, a senior-most tennis referee in Karnataka, a team of nine external referees, umpires, and physiotherapists ensured that matches were conducted smoothly and professionally. Behind the scenes, JIRS Executive Council Members, 25 sports coaches, and student volunteers worked with discipline to support the event.
