Established in 2009, it is a second generation IIT. The institute offers BTech in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering; MTech in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering; MSc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and MS(R) in Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical Sciences. The institute also offers PhD courses as well as courses in Humanities and Social Sciences.
