Chennai: Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) has extended the last date for online admission entry for its B.Ed. and M.Ed. degree programmes for the 2026-27 academic year. The extension has been announced through a fresh circular listed on the university’s official website. According to the notification, the online admission entry deadline has been extended up to October 6, 2026. The update is relevant to students seeking admission to B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes under TNTEU and its affiliated teacher education institutions.
What the University Has Announced
TNTEU's latest circular specifically concerns the online admission entry process for the B.Ed./M.Ed. degree programmes for the 2026-27 academic year. The university has listed the deadline extension among its latest circulars, alongside separate notifications concerning M.Ed. admissions to its University Departments. The university operates as Tamil Nadu's dedicated institution for teacher education and has affiliated colleges offering B.Ed., B.Ed. Special Education, M.Ed. and other teacher education programmes.
Students Should Not Miss the Extended Deadline
Students who have not yet completed the required online admission entry should check their respective college and TNTEU instructions immediately. The extension is particularly relevant for candidates who had not completed the admission process within the earlier timeline. Since the latest circular specifies October 6, 2026 as the extended last date, students should not assume that another extension will automatically be announced. Applicants should also verify their admission status with their respective college before the deadline, particularly if they have completed only part of the online process.

TNTEU is an exclusive university for teacher education established by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
