TIFR CAM to Organise Summer School 2026

Candidates are to apply through the Google Form issued by the institute.

Bengaluru: The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Centre for Applicable Mathematics is to conduct a Summer School programme from 18th May to 29th May, 2026.  

Primarily designed for students pursuing Master’s or entry-level Ph.D. programmes, this programme will focus on Analysis and related topics at both Basic and Advanced levels of Mathematics.  

The lectures offered under Basic Mathematics include “Introduction to the Laplace equation” by Ujjwal Koley, “Introduction to Smooth Manifolds” by Nishant Chandgotia, and “Introduction to Sobolev Theory” by Prashanth K. Srinivasan. The lectures offered under Advanced Mathematics include “Frobenius Theorem in Smooth Manifold Theory & Applications” by Venky Krishnan, “Optimal Transport: Foundations, Regularity, & Geometric Inequalities” by Debabrata Karmakar, and “The Liouville Equation: Geometry, Analysis & Blow-up” by Ali Hyder.

Those participants who attend all lectures of the programme will be awarded a participation certificate.

CAM itself will make arrangements for food and accommodation. It has also agreed to cover travel expenses, reimbursing up to 3-Tier AC Coach railway fares based on government rules, regardless of the participants’ mode of travel.

The list of selected candidates will be announced on the official website of the institute by 21st April, 2026.
