Barddhaman: University of Burdwan going to organize two days workshop on 2^nd and 3^rd March, 2022.

The University of Burdwan is going to organize two-day workshop for the research scholars of different colleges and institutions on 2^nd and 3^rd April, 2022 under DST-SERB sanctioned project.

Entomology Research Unit of Zoology Department of Burdwan University is going to organize the workshop on “Training for Research Scholars on Morphological and Molecular Identification of Culicoides vector of Bluetongue Virus.”

The workshop will be done on the hands on training on the aspects of field collection of Culicoides vectors, basics of identification through microscope using morphological characteristics, extraction of DNA from vectors, PCR amplification of selected gene and agarose gel electrophoresis. The outline related to the bioinformatics techniques will also be provided for the workshop.

The intake capacity for the workshop is 10-15 as notified by University. The participants working on entomology, veterinary science and allied disciplines can apply for the workshop.

Candidates willing to apply can do their registration before March 25^th, 2022. No fees will required for the registration and no TA/DA will be provided to the participants.
