The CBSC board scheduled the timetable for the 10th standard 2nd board exam.

CBSE has introduced a second board exam as an option for class 10th. This exam is going to be conducted in May. This exam allows students to improve their marks for 3 subjects. This exam is introduced in NEP 2020 to give the second chance to students to increasing the performance without waiting for a full year of pressure.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the second phase of the Class 10 examinations, scheduled from May 15 to May 21, 2026. The exams are open to students seeking to improve their marks, as well as those who have failed in up to three subjects.

CBSE has introduced a second board exam as an option for class 10th. This exam is going to be conducted in May. This exam allows students to improve their marks for 3 subjects. This exam is introduced in NEP 2020 to give the second chance to students to increasing the performance without waiting for a full year of pressure. This exam can be treated as an improvement test for a student who wants to score higher marks. As a supplementary exam for those who failed less than three subjects on their first attempt. This exam allows for special compartment students or failed subjects in the first exam. The students who have failed or missed 3 or more subjects in the first exam are not allowed to attempt this exam and must repeat the year  

The examinations will be conducted from May 15 to May 21, 2026. The subjects include Mathematics (Standard and Basic), English (Communicative and Literature), Science, Social Science, selected languages, Sanskrit, Painting, and Technology.

The exam gonna have the full year syllabus as it is in the first exam. This exam also has the best top rules, which means that if a student who appeared in both exams, their best marks are gonna be considered for the final result. The result for this exam gonna come out in June, so students can proceed with the best scores.  

There are some eligibility criteria that students must meet; they must be present on the first attempt. Students are allowed to improve up to 3 important subjects. Students must improve or have failed on their first attempt.
