TERI School of Advanced Studies organizing Seminar

:- Seminar will be on "An introduction to Venture capital, ESG Investing and Sustainability"

New Delhi: TERI school of advanced studies is offering a seminar on "An introduction to Venture capital, ESG Investing and Sustainability" from August 18 to 20 from 9 am to 6 pm. This seminar focuses on the venture capital cycle and typical venture-backed start-up companies. It covers the typical venture fund structure and related venture capital objectives and investment strategies, intellectual property, and common organizational issues encountered in the formation of start-ups. 

The seminar will cover matters relating to initial capitalization and early stage equity incentive and compensation arrangements, valuation methodologies, challenges of fundraising, due diligence, financing strategies, and harvesting. Attendees critically examine investment terms found in term sheets and the dynamics of negotiations between the owners and the venture capitalist. The seminar examines the role of venture capitalists in providing value addition during the growth phase for portfolio companies. Alternate financing channels that include incubators, accelerators, crowdfunding, angels, and super-angels are studied in depth. 

The attendees will be able to develop understanding of the fundamentals of venture capital, the fund-raising process and sourcing of investment opportunities, they will learn how to structure terms of investment, analyze fund size and portfolio construction and understand value creation. 

On completion of the seminar, participants will be awarded a certificate from TERI School of Advanced Studies in recognition of completion of the seminar. This seminar will be conducted both online and offline and the fees will vary accordingly. The venue for the offline seminar is The Oberoi - Nilgiri Banquet Hall. The last date to register is August 16.
