Telangana :- The Telangana government is inviting applications from the Scheduled Caste students for overseas scholarships. Applicants whose family income is not more than five lakhs per annum from all sources are eligible to apply for the overseas scholarship. The official website is telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in and the last date to register online is March 31.

The candidates will be shortlisted for the overseas scholarship as per merit. A statement on the official website said: “Registration of application is not entitled for benefit/ grant of Scholarship under the scheme. The selection of candidate is based on fulfillment of the prescribed guidelines, and in case of over and above registrations against the intake, the selection will be done based on merit only, as per the existing guidelines.”

The Telangana overseas scholarship is available to only those students who have been accepted by an education institution in the USA, Canada, Germany, France, the UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

The Telangana overseas scholarship will include a grant up to Rs 20 lakhs or as per the admission letter, whichever is less. It will also include a one-way economic ticket and visa charges. Only one child from a family will be eligible for the scholarship.

To register online for the scholarship, the student must have scored a 60 per cent marks in graduation, and an eligible score in GRE or GMAT and English proficiency test, TOEFL and IELTS .
