The Telangana Board of Secondary Education has released the SSC Public Exam Datesheet 2026. Class 10 exams begin on March 14, with strict rules for objective sections. Check full timetable and important guidelines.

Hyderabad ; The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Telangana, has officially released the timetable for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Public Examinations 2026. The exams for Class 10 students will commence on March 14, 2026, starting with the First Language paper. The Second Language exam will follow on March 18, 2026, offering students a three-day preparation window between the two major subjects.

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) confirmed that the schedule applies to SSC, OSSC (Open School SSC), and vocational candidates, and will remain unchanged even if public or general holidays coincide with exam dates. All examinations will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm across designated centres in the state.

Exam Schedule Highlights

  • March 14, 2026: First Language
  • March 18, 2026: Second Language

All papers will be conducted in a single morning session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

For OSSC candidates, the language examinations are scheduled slightly later:

  • April 15, 2026: Main Language Paper I
  • April 16, 2026: Main Language Paper II

Most subjects include a 3–4 day gap to help students prepare effectively and reduce stress during the examination period.

Important Objective Paper Instructions

  • A senior official from the board reiterated crucial guidelines for attempting Part B (Objective Section) of the question papers:
  • For all subjects except English and Science, the objective section must be attempted only in the last 30 minutes.
  • For Physical Science and Biological Science, students should complete the objective portion in the last 15 minutes.
  • For English, the objective section must be answered along with Part A, unlike other subjects.

The board also warned that answering the objective paper at the wrong time or attempting the wrong question paper combination would lead to cancellation of the candidate’s performance.

All academic subjects and papers remain uniform for both SSC and OSSC candidates, ensuring consistent evaluation standards across streams.

Advisory for Students

Students appearing for SSC 2026 are strongly advised to:

  • Review the complete timetable carefully.
  • Follow the instructions related to objective sections without fail.
  • Stick to a disciplined study plan as the exams draw closer.
