15,000 Teachers Selected in Andhra Pradesh’s Mega DSC 2025 Recruitment

Amaravati, : The Andhra Pradesh government has announced the final results of the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment drive, confirming appointments for nearly 15,000 teacher posts across six departments. Out of over 5.7 lakh applicants, 3.36 lakh were found eligible, with women making up almost half of the selected candidates.

Kona Sasidhar, Secretary of the School Education Department, said that appointments have been finalised for around 15,000 posts, while nearly 400 positions remain vacant due to the absence of suitable candidates and will be carried forward to the next DSC recruitment.

Of the total selections, close to 7,000 women candidates made the cut, accounting for 49.9 percent. The process included vertical reservations, horizontal reservations under the sports quota, and SC categorisation.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan will hand over appointment letters to the newly recruited teachers at a state event on September 19. Training sessions for the candidates will be conducted in their allotted districts from September 22 to 29, followed by postings.

Education Minister Nara Lokesh highlighted that Mega DSC-2025 was the first file signed by CM Naidu after assuming office. “Within 150 days, we completed this massive recruitment drive. This is not just about jobs but about shaping young minds and strengthening the AP Model of Education,” Lokesh said.
