Pondicherry University, on its official website, has announced that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has officially launched its premier recruitment drive, TCS Atlas Hiring, for the 2026 batch. This specialized initiative is designed to identify exceptional analytical minds for high-impact roles in Data Science, Analytics, and Business Consulting. Unlike general IT recruitment, the Atlas program specifically targets students with strong quantitative skills who are ready to drive the next wave of business innovation and digital transformation.

The program is exclusively open to postgraduates who are part of the graduating batch of 2026. Eligible candidates must be pursuing a full-time Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics or Statistics, or a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics. In terms of academic performance, TCS requires a minimum aggregate of 60% or 6.0 CGPA throughout a candidate's entire academic history, including Class 10, Class 12, Graduation, and the ongoing Post-Graduation. While students are permitted to have one active backlog at the time of the examination, all arrears must be cleared before the official date of joining.

The assessment process is conducted by TCS iON and consists of a 115-minute in-person test at designated centers. The exam is divided into five critical sections designed to test a candidate's core competencies: Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Programming, and Verbal Ability. Due to limited seating at physical test centers, slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, making early registration vital for candidates who wish to secure their preferred location.

To apply, candidates must visit the TCS NextStep portal and register under the "IT" category. It is mandatory to ensure that the name and date of birth entered match the details on the candidate's Aadhaar card. After completing the application form, students must click the "Apply for Drive" button and select "In-Centre" as their test mode. Success in the registration process can be verified in the "Track Your Application" tab, where the status should show as "Applied for Drive."

TCS emphasizes that it does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process and does not authorize external agencies to conduct interviews. Candidates should be wary of unofficial communications and should rely only on official portal updates. The registration window is currently live, and students are encouraged to complete their applications immediately to participate in the upcoming February assessment cycle.
